Nad has worked with us at Sequence for around five years as a Lead Interaction Developer. When Nad was three years old he became very ill with Meningitis. He consequently fell into a coma, thankfully after several weeks he regained consciousness and the doctors gave him the all clear. He was sent home to start the long road to recovery with his family.
His parents soon realised he wasn't responding to simple things, like his name being called and it was discovered that Meningitis had caused Nad to become completely deaf. His parents searched everywhere in an attempt to find a treatment for Nad's hearing loss but unfortunately Nad was and still is profoundly deaf.
In his own words Nad believes he "got off lightly" from this horrible disease and it's true to say that other sufferers are not as lucky. It's our aim to raise as much money as we possibly can to try and help prevent the pain and suffering of children who find themselves in Nad's position.
